Privacy

Privacy Policy

Loftfile converts files inside your browser. Your files are never uploaded to us. This policy explains what that means and what little data is involved in using the site.

Effective date: October 31, 2026

Who we are

Loftfile is operated by Antonio Jerome Pascual, an individual (“we”, “us” or “our”).

Summary

Your files

When you add a file, your browser reads it and converts it locally using code delivered with the site. The file and the converted result stay on your device. Loftfile has no server that receives, stores or inspects your files, and we cannot see their contents or names.

Converted results are created in your browser’s memory so you can download them. They are released when you clear the batch, close the tab or reload the page.

Recent history

The Recent list shows files you converted during the current visit. It is held in memory only. It is not saved to cookies, local storage or any other browser storage, and it is not sent to us. Closing or reloading the tab clears it.

Password-protected PDFs

If you open a PDF that needs a password, the password is used in your browser to unlock that file and is then cleared from the field. It is never saved to browser storage, written to logs, added to Recent history, placed in a web address or sent to us.

No accounts

Loftfile does not offer accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address or other contact details to use the converter.

Hosting and request data

Loftfile is hosted on Cloudflare. As with most websites, when your browser requests a page or file, Cloudflare may process and log standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This data does not include the contents of your files, which never leave your device. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details.

Advertising (being introduced)

Ads are being introduced. Ads provided by Google AdSense help keep Loftfile free. Google’s ad code loads only after you accept advertising, and this section will be updated as ads go live. The following applies:

Your consent choices

We ask every visitor for consent before any advertising cookies are used or ads are loaded. You can accept, decline or choose your preferences under “Manage choices”, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Change cookie choice” link at the bottom of every page. Declining will not affect your ability to convert files. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google’s certified consent message will also ask for your choice, so that it is recorded in the certified form Google requires for those regions.

Cookies and storage

Loftfile itself does not set cookies. It saves two small entries in your browser’s local storage: loftfile-consent records whether you accepted or declined ads, and loftfile-consent-prefs records the settings you chose under “Manage choices”. Neither entry contains your files, file names or any personal information, and neither is sent to us. You can change them at any time with the “Change cookie choice” link at the bottom of every page, or remove them by clearing this site’s data in your browser. If you accept, Google may set its own cookies.

Children

Loftfile is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Loftfile changes, for example when ads are introduced. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
